Danbury Public Schools is Hiring a Parent Educator Near Danbury, CT
- Plan and coordinate weekly playgroups
- Plan and coordinate family events for families of young children
- Collaborate with community partners to bring resources and programs to families, i.e., ESL classes, parenting education, medical and social services, etc.
- Be the liaison between the programs/schools and the families
- Participate on the Danbury Family-School Partnership Advisory Council
- Implement the CT Framework for Family-School Partnerships
- Other appropriate activities related to building partnerships and family’s knowledge of child growth and development
- Experience working with young children and their families
- Experience working with Danbury’s diverse population
- Knowledge of human growth and development
- Deep knowledge of Danbury and its related resources
- Bi-lingual required
- AA degree in any field and 3 years life experience with working with families
- Knowledgeable about Microsoft Office Suite and inputting data
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Para Union Position
- Hours 35-40 hours per week depending on programs needs/includes nights and weekends
- Salary $18.50 hour
